The Christian County Genealogical Society was organized November 28, 1978 as a non-profit organization and incorporated on February 10, 1983.  Through the years, the society has been responsible for publishing Christian County genealogical books, copying original marriage records from 1797 - 1887, survey books and slave records.

The Christian County Genealogical Society has for sale the new book, Cemeteries of Christian County, KY 1797-2003. This book contains over 750 pages of burials and other information on people in Christian Co. There is 50 pages of cemeteries with directions, these cemeteries are in alphabetical order. It also contains a listing of people who were cremated with perhaps information listed nowhere else, cemeteries which were moved from the Ft. Campbell area are also listed, along with Western State Hospital Burials and Confederate dead which are in Camp Alcorn Cemetery in Hopkinsville.
It does not contain listings from Riverside Cemetery, which are published in it's own book,
"Riverside Cemetery 1837 - 1997 by Ann Fleming and Betty McCorkle.
The Rosedale Cemetery in Pembroke was published by Becky Owen and it is also not included. These two cemeteries alone contain over 17,000 names.
Cemeteries of Christian County can be ordered by sending a check for $49.50 (plus 6% tax for KY Residents)
