Randall Alan Lane

Spec. 4 Randall Alan Lane, 23, of Fort Campbell, Ky., formerly of North Jay, died December 12 in Gander, New Foundland, enroute home from a peacekeeping mission in the Sinai Desert with the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army.

He was born in Farmington, a son of Raymond and Judith Mosher Lane Sr, and went to Jay schools, graduating from Jay High School. He was a member of the Jay high school football team. Mr Lane attended the University of southern Maine for two years.

He married Anne Delcourt in Westbrook in 1984. Mr Lane was a member of the Maine National Guard before he joined the regular army in January of 1985.

He was a member of the Bartlett Memorial Methodist Church in Jay.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Athena Kristin and Randi Alicia; a step-daughter, Jessica Anne Roakes, all of Westbrook; his parents of North Jay; two brothers, Raymond Jr. of Carmel and Reginald of North Jay.

A funeral service with full military honors will be held at 1 PM Saturday at the Wilton United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Birchland Cemetery, North Jay.
