Pennyrile Deaths - April 8, 1999

CADIZ, Ky. — Retired Army Col. Jack F. Belford, 77, Cadiz, died at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, Tenn., of natural causes.

The body has been cremated. Military services will be Memorial Day weekend at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery, Fort Leavenworth, Kan. Goodwin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

A native of Okmulgee, Okia., he was born April 12, 1921, the son of the late Leland Sanford and Lorina Findlay Belford. He was a World War II and Korean War veteran and was a member of the 187th Regimental Combat Team Airborne Association
(Rakkasans), the Retired Army Officers Association, Sierra Club, Airborne Static-Line Association, Donald F. Pratt Museum, Nature
Conservancy Kentucky Chapter and the Infantry Officers Hall of

Fame, Fort Benning, Ga.

  Survivors include his wife, Paur line Rader Belford; two sons, Matthew Jack Belford, Leavenworth Kan., Mark Leland Belford, Boulder, Cob.; three daughters, Janice Marie Moriarty, Atlanta, Ga., Kathleen Ailne Bel
— ford, Boulder, Patricia Lynn Cohen, Virginia Beach, Va.; two sisters, Bobby Allen, Seattle,
• Wash., Audine Brandes, Temple, Texas; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
