BETZGERTRUD A. BETZ
Gertrud Auguste Betz, 77, Adams Avenue, died
at 8:33 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, at Jennie
Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.A memorial service will be at 7 tonight at Hughart
and Beard Funeral Home, with the Rev. Sean
Kopczynski officiating. The body has been
cremated. Committal services will be at 10 a.m.
Tuesday at Riverside Cemetery.A native of Germany, she was born Feb. 12, 1923,
the daughter of the late Auguste Mauer. She was a
retired employee of the American Armed Forces
Exchange Service. A Catholic, she attended SS.
Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Her husband,
Heinrich Betz, died in 1949.A daughter, Gabriele Smith, Hopkinsville; three
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren,
survive.
