MORGANFIELD, KY., - A50 year old Morganfield man died last Friday after his car was struck head-on by another vehicle while traveling on Ky., 56 near Morganfield.
Curtis C. Blackwell died at 11 p.m. after his car was struck by another car driven by Billy Traver, 16, of Morganfield. Traver was traveling east under Ky., 56 when he lost control of his vehicle and it collided with Blackwell's vehicle head on according to the Kentucky State Police.
Traver was admitted to the Union County Hospital with multiple injuries and is in satisfactory condition.
Blackwell is survived by his wife, Marg Blackwell; to sons, Jeff Blackwell of Dixon and Dennis Blackwell of Providence; one daughter Mrs. Teresa Elizabeth Helsrud?, Providence three brothers, Lisman Blackwell, Clay George Bridwell, Providence and Jimmy Bridwell of East Gary, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs. Betty
Alexander, Clay and Mrs. Paisy Teague of Providence and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Townsend-Jones Funeral Home in Providence. Burial will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery.

An Infant Killed by Medicine
HENDERSON, Ky. - July 19.
Frank Fonda Blackwell, infant son of R.C. Blackwell, was found dead in bed by his parents this morning. The child had been sick a few days; his mother gave it a dose of medicine during the night and then went to sleep. On waking this morning it was discovered that the child was dead.
