CHARLES CALVERT FLOOD

Charles Calvert Flood passed away October 28, at nine o'clock at his home on Canton road, after nearly a year's illness.

He was born in Trigg county on June 16, 1912. The son of Henry and Florence Flood, and spent his entire life on the farm, where he died.
He united with the Oak Grove Baptist Church in early life.

In November 1937, he was married to Edna Lorene Hughes and to this union was born two children.

He is survived by his wife and two children, Florence Evelyn and Lela Marylin. He is survived by his father with whom he had spent his entire life, one sister, Mrs Paul Bridges, four brothers, John, Amoss, William and Douglas Flood, all of Trigg County.

His entire life was spent as one who was willing to lend a helping hand and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him, as well as his beloved wife and children. A large crowd was present to pay a last tribute of respect to Mr Flood.

Funeral services were held at Dyers Chapel Church with Rev. E.R. Noel in charge and burial was in the
Lawrence cemetery

Brother John Flood died at his residence in this count, on the 17th inst. After about five weeks illness.  He was 32 years of age at the time of his death.  He was a son of Mr. Ben Flood and is the only one of the family dead.  He was a member of the Donaldson Creek Baptist Church at his death and has been for about twelve years.  He lived an honest, sober, truthful life and was ready to meet his God in peace.  He leaves a wife, three children and a large number of friends to mourn his loss.     A FRIEND
