Annie Barnes Fruit, 83, Hopkinsville, Ky.
Died Friday 5 january 1968 in Jennie Stuart Hospital.
Born 26 November 1884 in Christian Co., daughter of Elbert and Virginia Scates Barnes.
Member of Dogwood Christian Church.
Survivors: husband, Joseph Thompson Fruit; three sons, Carl of Pontiac, Mich., J. T. Jr. of Christian Co., and George Fruit of Hopkinsville; five daughters, Mrs. Coleman Fuller, Mrs. James Cannon, Mrs. Roy Addison and Mrs. William Boren, all of Hopkinsville, and Mrs. Girdie Young of Christian Co.; 17 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
Services: Sunday 7 January 1968, burial in Dogwood Cem.

Chester Fruit Found Dead At Home
Chester Fruit, elderly resident of Pilot Rock Road, was found dead of a self-inflicted bullet wound at his home this morning. Coroner Gordon Hall ruled the death a suicide.
Mr. Fruit, about 80, a brother of Judge Sam Fruit of this city, lived alone and was found by a friend who had intended to drive him to the city this morning.
Coroner Hall said Mr. Fruit was found sitting in his rocking chair. He had been dead since late yesterday afternoon. Arrangements had not been completed at the time of printing.
