DAN GALVIN, 78, 440 North Thirty-fifth street, died this morning at 4:20 at the Illinois Central hospital

He is survived by a son, J. LISLIE GALVIN; a daughter, Mrs. HERMAN B. Voor, both of Paducah; six grandchildren.

Mr. GARVIN was born in New York City, coming to Paducah in his youth. He had retired from his several years ago. He was a member of St. Thomas More parish.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9 a. m. at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic church, with Rev. C. R. Carrico officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. The men at St. Thomas More parish will meet at the Roth funeral chapel at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday to recite the rosary. The Daughters of Isabella will meet at 8 p. m. for prayers. Friends may call at the Roth funeral chapel.

MARY T. GALVIN

             Mary Teresa Galvin, 73, County Kerry,
             Ireland, and New York, died at 11:30 a.m.
             Thursday, March 9, 2000, at Pinecrest Manor
             following a long illness.

             Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at
             Hawthorne Funeral Home, Hawthorne, N.Y. Burial
             will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne.
             Visitation will be from 4 until 7:30 tonight at
             Maddux Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, with the
             Rev. Gerald Baker officiating at a rosary at 7 p.m.

             A native of Ballylongford, County Kerry, Ireland,
             she was born June 23, 1926, the daughter of the
             late Michael and Helen Fitzgerald Barrett. She was
             a homemaker and had worked in the medical field
             for 15 years. She was a member of SS. Peter and
             Paul Catholic Church.

             Survivors include her husband, Jeremiah Galvin,
             Hopkinsville; two sons, Edward Galvin, Oieria,
             Colo., Michael Galvin, Jacksonville, Fla.; three
             daughters, Rosaleen Light-Newby, Murray Hill,
             N.J., Gerrie Morace, Hopkinsville, Terese Galvin,
             Houston, Texas; two brothers, John Barrett, County
             Kerry, Michael Barrett, London, England; three
             sisters, Catherine O'Sullivan, and Eileen Connor,
             Tralee, County Kerry, Crissy O'Gorman, County
             Kerry; nine grandchildren and one
             great-grandchild.

             Memorials may be made to the Alziemer's
             Foundation.
