Born in Christian Co., son of Al and Ida Morris Hammonds.
Had lived in Indiana for 21 years. Wife, Vera Adams Hammonds, died in February 1964.
Survivors: two sons, Cecil of Hopkinsville and William Albert Jr. of Hammond; three daughters, Mrs. Arnold Thompson and Mrs. Albert Wilfinger both of Hammond, and Mrs. Joy Wheeler of Borden, Ind.

Died Friday 21 February 1964 at Elmhurst Nursing Home.
Born in Christian Co.
Made her home in Hammond, Ind. for about 15 yrs., had been a patient at the nursing home for a year.
Survivors: husband; children, Cecil Hammonds of Hopkinsville, W. A. Hammonds Jr., Mrs. Al Wilfinger and Mrs. Arnold Thompson all of Hammond, Ind. and Mrs. Joy Wheeler of Borden, Ind.; number of grandchildren.

MRS. E.J. HAMMONDS

Mrs E.J. Hammonds Dies at 75
Good Christian Lady Dies Sunday
Funeral services were held Sunday February 25 for Mrs E.J. Hammonds who died early Sunday.

Mrs Hammonds was born Margaret Mathews on March 20, 1865 and has lived practically all her life here in Trigg county.

She professed faith in Christ at an early age and was a member of the King's Chapel Methodist Church at the time of her death.

She was married to E.J. Hammonds and to this union were born five children, all of whom survive. They are: Clarence, Lewis, Bernice, Archie and Mrs E.E. Cunningham, Christian county.

Also surviving is the husband and ten grand children and four great-grandchildren. Burial took place Sunday afternoon, near the home with funeral services being conducted by Rev. D.L. Lance.

Real estate investor.
Survivors: son, Eddie R. Jr. of Winter Haven, Fla.; daughter, Mrs. Sarah Nell Hammonds of Lake Charles, La.; two brothers, William of Cadiz, Texas and Norris E. of Lake Charles, La.
Services: burial in Winter Haven, Fla.

Died Thursday 6 January 1977 at Jennie Stuart Hospital.
Born 2 February 1899 in Christian Co., daughter of George and Parthinia Moore Alexander.
Husband, Will Hammonds, died in 1944. Member of Crofton Baptist Church.
Survivors: son, Rev. Dr. William H. Hammonds of Athens, Ga.; daughter, Mrs. Ray (Alma) Richardson of Crofton; sister, Mrs. Dora Dunning of Crofton; six grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
Services: Saturday 8 January 1977, burial in Ridgetop Cem.

Vera Adams Hammonds, 64, Hopkinsville, Ky.
Died at Elmhurst Nursing Home Friday 21 February 1964.
Born in Christian Co., daughter of Amos and Lourena Cansler Adams.
Former Crofton resident, had lived for a number of years in Hammond, Ind. before going to the nursing home. Member of First Christian Church in Hammond.
Survivors: husband, William Albert Hammonds; five children; 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
Services: Sunday 23 February 1964, burial in Crofton Cem.
