Member of Westwood Church of Christ. Husband, Thomas Edgar Knight, died in 1981 and a daughter, Sue Alice Knight, died in 1958.
Survivors: four sons, James Roy and Phillip Ray, both of Hopkinsville, Gathial Wayne and Thomas E. Knight, Jr., both of Christian Co.; four daughters, Mrs. Virgil (Mary)Ralston of Nashville, Tenn., Mrs. Kenneth (Elizabeth) Pendleton and Mrs. J. D.              Colleen Elizabeth Knight, 71, Crofton, died at
             6:20 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2000, at the
             Regional Medical Center, Madisonville, of natural
             causes.

             Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at
             Reid-Walters Funeral Home, Earlington, with the
             Rev. Butch McKnight officiating. Burial will be in
             Hawkins Cemetery, Christian County. Visitation
             will be from 5 until 9 tonight and from 9 a.m.
             Thursday until time for the funeral.

             A native of Christian County, she was born July 20,
             1928, the daughter of the late Letcher and Pearl
             Matheny Parker. She was a long-time employee of
             Outwood Hospital, Dawson Springs, and was a
             member of the West Grove Baptist Church,
             Crofton. Two sons preceded her in death.

             Survivors include her husband, Seamond Knight;
             two daughters, Elizabeth Kimmel, Chicago, Ill.,
             Charlotte Anderton, Hopkinsville; a son, Kenneth
             Knight, St. Charles; two sisters, Mabel Adcock and
             Marie Cansler, both of Dawson Springs; three
             brothers, Jasper Parker and Nobel Parker, both of
             Dawson Springs, John Parker, Crofton; 11
             grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

             officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. Tuesday in
             Cave Spring Cemetery.

             A native of Hopkinsville, he was born Oct. 7,
             1907. He was the son of the late Frank and
             Mirandia Jones Knight and was a member of
             Spring Hill Baptist Church and a retired farmer.
             His wife, Virginia Right Knight, preceded him in
             death.

             Survivors include a son, Frank Ed Knight,
             Hopkinsville; three daughters, Dorothy E. Brown,
             Hopkinsville, Mirandia R. Kelsey, Dell City, Va.,
             and Maxine Garvin, Philadelphia, Pa.; and 11
             grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and nine
             great-great-grandchildren.

Effie KNIGHT, 87, of 428 Sixth St., died at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at Community Methodist Hospital.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Hampton BOOK of Henderson, and a brother, Ashford SIGHTS of Henderson.

A native of Christian County, she was born Feb. 10, 1902, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Alice MacIntosh Barnett. She was a farmer and a member of East Macedonia Baptist Church. Her husband, Jesse Knight, died in 1974, and a daughter, Mary Edith Knight, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Thomas Harold Knight, Christian County; two daughters, Agnes Kestner, Christian County, and Ester Van Hooser, Evansville, Ind.; and seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

             Mary Frances Knight, 77, Nassau Circle, died
             at 2 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000, at her home
             following a long illness.

             Services were at 10 this morning at Maddux
             Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, with the Rev. Kent
             Workman officiating. Burial was in Rosedale
             Cemetery, Pembroke.

             A native of Fairview, she was born Jan. 6, 1923,
             the daughter of the late Davis and Louise Wright
             Shanklin. She was retired from Thomas Industries
             and was a caregiver for the elderly. She was a
             member of Bethel Baptist Church, Fairview. Her
             husband, Marion Knight, died in 1986. Two
             daughters, Mary Katheryn Knight and Rebecca Sue
             Knight, also preceded her in death.

             Survivors include a son, James S. Knight,
             Hopkinsville; two daughters, Patsy Butkus,
             Hopkinsville, Bettye Rose, Austin, Texas; two
             sisters, Mildred Thomson, Hopkinsville, Peggy
             Rynders, Albany, Ga.; eight grandchildren and six
             great-grandchildren.

             and electrician and was a member of the First
             Assembly of God.

             2:52 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, at Jennie
             Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.

             1930, the son of the late Wilmer Lee and Ellen
             Malindy Tadlock Knight. He was a National Guard
             Korean War veteran and was a retired mechanic
             with Civil Service at Fort Campbell. A son,
             Robbie Knight, preceded him in death.

             Survivors include a son, Robert Joel Knight,
             Hopkinsville; two brothers, J.W. Knight,
             Lancaster, Billy Joel Knight, Christian County; a
             sister, Georgia Carnes, Hopkinsville, and five
             grandchildren.


RUFUS H. KNIGHT

             Rufus Hershel Knight, 85, South Fowler
             Avenue, died at 8:17 p.m. Tuesday, March 7,
             2000, at Pinecrest Manor following a long illness.

             Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hughart and
             Beard Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, with the Rev.
             John R. Christian officiating. Burial will be in
             Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be
             from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday.

             A native of Christian County, he was born March
             12, 1914, the son of the late Daniel and Sally
             Messamore Knight. He was a retired farmer and
             carpenter and a member of the Sinking fork Baptist
             Church. His wife, Bonnie Lou Thompson Knight,
             died in 1988.

             Survivors include two sons, Wayne Knight,
             Hanson, Perry Knight, Madisonville; two
             daughters, Barbara Woody, Titusville, Fla., Betty
             Cornelius, Christian County; a sister, Marie Clark,
             Crofton; 12 grandchildren and 20
             great-grandchildren.
