GRACE COURTNEY LACY

Grace Courtney Lacy, 99, Christian Health Center, died at 7:30 a.m. Monday at the health center of natural causes.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Riverside Cemetery, with the Rev. James S. McKenzie officiating.
A native of Christian County, she was born June 22, 1899, the daughter of the late James W. and Minnie Davis Courtney. She was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church. Her husband, Ira Ewin Lacy, and a son, Ira Ewin Lcy Jr., preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sisters, Norene Tribble, Trigg County, Lorene Glover, Apollo, Fla., and Ruth Rawlins, Hopkinsville.

Mrs. Julia Lacy, mother of Mr. Charles Lacy and Mrs. Nannie Grissam of this city, died at her home, near Kirkmansville, Sunday morning last, in her 68th year. The deceased was a lady of high character and extensive influence, and her death cast a shadow over the community in which she lived.

Services for Mary Allen Lacy, 85, Highpoint Drive, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph McConnell officiating.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time for the service.

She died at 10:20 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, at Pinecrest Manor following a long illness.

A native of Christian County, she was born Jan. 7, 1917, the daughter of the late John and Hattie Atwood Underwood. She was a homemaker and had worked at the A&P Grocery.

Survivors include her husband, George W. Lacy Jr.; a daughter, April Smith, Clarksville, Tenn., two grandsons and two great-grandsons.



NICK LACY

Nick Lacy, of the Kirkmansville neighborhood, was killed one day this week by his team running away with him, so says the Progress.
