HARRELL RAGER

A Killing in Todd County
The "glorious" Third was appropriately solemnized in true Kentucky style at Winder's store, Todd county, last Saturday by the killing of Harrell Rager by Nick Gibson.
Gibson will be remembered by our citizens as a witness in the trial of George Gibson last fall in the Circuit court here. The circumstances of the killing were not detailed to our reporter, but the facts as near as could be obtained are as follows: A picnic was given at Widner's store on Saturday for the purpose of duly observing the Fourth. During the day a row occurred between Rager and Gibson, a fight ensued and Gibson shot his antagonist in the left side the ball lodging in his back. Rager died from the wound. Our informant was unable to furnish further particulars. Later information is to the effect that Rager is not dead but can not recover. Gibson is at large.
