Aged Sebree Lady Dies Leaving 141 Direct Descent. - Mrs. Callie RHODES, 95, died at 3:55 a.m. last Friday following a long illness.
Survivors are six daughters, Mrs. Eula LITTLEPAGE and Mrs. Emma LEGATT both of Sebree; Mrs. Bertan SAMPLES and Mrs. Hassie LITTLEPAGE both of Henderson; Mrs. Jessie ORSBURN and Nellie YOUNG both of Evansville; one son Roden RHODES of El Paso, Texas; a brother, M. D. GIVENS of Lascassas, Tenn.; a sister Tella RHODES of Murfreesboro, Tenn., 31 grandchildren; 79 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great- grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, W. Lasater officiating, assisted by J. E. SAMPLES, a grandson. Burial in Springdale Cemetery. ( 1857-1952.Caldonia (Callie) GIVENS and Samuel Crawford RHODES were married 17 September, 1876 in Tenn.) Sebree Banner 1952

Answers Call At Ripe Old Age
James H. RHODES, Sr., dies of General Debility, At His Home Near Milton In His Eighty-Year, James H. Rhodes, Sr., the venerable father of Sheriff James R, RHODES, died at his home near Milton on Saturday night. September 5th, in his 83rd year. His death was due to general debility, a gradual giving away of the vital sparks of life. He had been confined to his bed for about five months, but suffered no special pain, and hid passing was as if falling asleep.  - Milton Tn. date unknown.
