Pennyrile Deaths - May 3, 1999
Adeline Phyllis Skaggs, 80, Desert Inn Court, died at 7:52 p.m. Friday at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Baptist church, with the Revs. Danny Belcher and Denny Burchett officiating. Burial will be in Green's Chapel Cemetery, Greenville. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home, Hopkinsville.

A native of Revillo, S.D.. she was born June 28, 1918, the daughter of the late Max and Ellen Sophie Lynn Shultz. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmie Skaggs and two sisters, Delores Kauers, Racine, Wis., and Maxine Lawdanski, Milwaukee, Wis. 



ALVIN SKAGGS

Alvin Skiggs, 50, of 1010 Pringle St. died about 6 p. m. Monday of an apparent heart attack while working south of Henderson.
He was a house painter and a member of the Corydon Nazarene Church.
He is survived by two sons, Keith Skaggs of Henderson and Steve at home; his mother, Mable Staggs of Henderson; four brothers, Alves, Ray, James and David Skaggs all of Henderson; three sisters, Elizabeth Shelton, Martha Jean Brown and Eileen Nelson, all of Henderson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Benton-Glunt Funeral Home with the Rev. Virgil Womack officiating. Entombment will be in Fernwood Mausoleum.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3:30 p.m. today.

JOHN SKAGGS

John Skaggs, 64, of Loeb Street died at 11:25 p.m. Tuesday at Community Methodist Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; two daughters, Kay Brant and Mary Fowler, both of Henderson; one son, Bobby Skaggs of Henderson; three sisters, Dorothy Brown of Indiana, Inez Kincade of Henderson and Margie Chase of Newburg. Ind.; six brothers, Irvin and Wilbur Skaggs both of Henderson, Eugene Skaggs of Reed, Russel, Oascar and Abe Skaggs all of Spottsville; and six grandchildren.
services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Benton-Gilnt Funeral Home with burial in Roselawn Memorial garden. The Rev. Jack Cavens officiating.
