COL H C STEVENSON

Dallas Tex. Times Nov. 4th
"The many friends of Col. H.C. Stevenson will be deeply grieved to learn of the death of his wife--one of the most admirable of women.
The news of her severe illness published in the Times yesterday came as a shock, for she was present at the Idlewild Club ball, apparently enjoying the best of health. She died at 7 o'clock this morning.
The funeral will take place from the first presbyterian church at half past ten tomorrow, Saturday. The Times tenders its heartfelt condolence to an old journalist in the severest trial of his life."
Many of the people of this city remember Col. Stevenson. He lived here many years ago, serving his time in the office of Kentucky Rifle.
He is a brother of Mrs. James E. McCarroll, of this county. He was editor of Dallas Times until recently.
