Charles"Rip" Swatzell, 62, of Cadiz, died Sunday at his home of natural causes.
A retired diesel mechanic for Reed's Crushed Stone Co., a member of the Caldwell Blue Spring Baptist Church and Cadiz Masonic Lodge # 121. He was born March 10, 1938 in Trigg County, Ky., a son of the late Thomas L. Swatzwell and Edith Sumner Swatzwell.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Kelly Swatzell, on Oct 30, 1999 ; and a brother Billy Hayden Swatzell in 1959.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Diane Taylor and Roger Marlowe and Rhonda Faye Fowler, all of Cadiz ; his step-mother, Mary Elizabeth Swatzell of Christian County ; Annie Maude Gore Kelly of Cadiz ; and four grandchildren, Kevin Drake Marlowe, Kelly Nicole Marlowe, Jessica Beatrice Lacy and Dustin Ray Fowler, all of Cadiz.
Funeral services Wednesday, Oct 25, 2000 at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz with the Rev Ron Noffsinger officiating.
Burial in Caldwell Blue Spring Cemetery in Caldwell County, Ky.
