CADIZ, Ky. -- Eugene "Sandy Top'' Underhill,
75, Cadiz, died at 9:35 a.m. Saturday, April
14, 2001, at his home of natural causes.Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Goodwin
Funeral Home, with the Revs. Irvin Darnall and
Brett Heuring officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant
Hill Cemetery, Golden Pond. Visitation will begin
at 4 this afternoon.A native of Golden Pond, he was born Dec. 9,
1925, the son of the late James T. and Anna
Katherine Whiteman Underhill. He was retired
from the Tennessee Valley Authority and was a
World War II Army veteran and a Catholic. A
daughter, Patricia Faye Underhill, preceded him in
death.Survivors include his wife, Ada Lucille Hargrove
Underhill; five sons, Larry, David, Teddy, Lynn
and Jason, all of Cadiz; three daughters, Mrs. Jerry
(Janice) Bush, Mrs. Tojo (Sherry) Oliver, both of
Cadiz, Mrs. Richard (Carolyn) Mumford,
Metropolis, Ill.; a brother, Henry Underhill,
Murray; two sisters, Mrs. Jack (Doretta) Scott and
Mrs. Mosco (Mary) Underhill, both of Dexter; 12
grandchildren, one great-grandchild, five
stepgrandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
