Mrs. Minnie Vance Dies At Home Here 1988
Mrs. Minnie P. VANCE, lifelong resident of Paducah, died at 9:40 o'clock Sunday morning at her home, 723 Clark street.
Mrs. Vance was a member of Esther chapter of the Eastern Star, and the First Baptist church.
She is survived by her husband, A. W. Vance; two brothers, John B. WELLS of Cincinnati and Alex WELLS of St. Louis; and two sisters, Mrs. Alice WOODSON and Mrs. William YOST of Louisville.
Funeral services were held at 4 o'clock this afternoon at Roth's funeral chapel with Rev. A. Warren Huyck officiating.
Interment was in the Oak Grove cemetery. Pallbearers were: Jack Bray, J. H. Dickerson, W. A. Middleton, A. M. Foreman, Ezzell Lackey and Hecht S. Lackey. Paducah - 1988


Mrs. Vance, 86, Columbia Employee 35 Years, Dies 1959 Mrs. Mollie VANCE, 86, a retired employee of the Columbia
Amusement Company, died at 2:15 p.m. Monday at her residence, 618 1/2 Broadway.
Mrs. Vance retired 10 years ago after 35 years of service with the Columbia Amusement Company. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Maude TURPIN of Paducah; a half-sister, Mrs. Grace E. STITH of Oklahoma City, Okla; a
granddaughter, Mrs. David RECTOR of Owensboro; a grandson, Cecil TURPIN of Indianapolis, Ind.; six great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Roth Funeral Chapel with the Rev. J.F.G. Hopper officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Jack Keiler, Pierce Lackey, Robert Overtseet, Giltner Segnefelter, Earl Harris and Authur Melton. Honorary pallbearers will be Rankin Kirkland, Bernard Palmer, Glenn Schrader, Rudell Butler, Roy Smith, R.L. Lang, H.A. Toof, Frank Lancaster, H.B. Hargrove Jr. and Bill Roetties.
