Jackson Illinois State Journal At 2 P.M. September 30th, 1885, the soul of Mrs Hattie Tilly Veitch took its happy
flight to the arms of Him who whom having not seen she loved.
The deceased had been ill for more than twelve months, and
the last two weeks her departure had been daily anticipated. Though a great sufferer most of the time, her end was calm and peaceful, the patient falling asleep on earth to awake in heaven.
Mrs Veitch, the third daughter of Rev. Dr. and Mrs H.V.D.
Nevins, was born in Goochland county, Virginia July 5th 1854, and was married to William E. Veitch in April 1882.
