Pennyrile Deaths – April 1, 1999PRINCETON, Ky. — Services for Opal Vickrey, 78, Princeton, will he at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Morgan’s Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gary Childress officiating.Burial will be in Princeton Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 until 9 tonight. She died at 3:58 p.m. Tuesday at Caldwell County Hospital following a long illness.
A native of Caldwell County, she was born July 10, 1920, the daughter of the late George Kelsey and Minnie Lee Thomas White. She was a retired housekeeper at Caldwell County Hospital and was a member of the Eddy Creek Baptist Church. Her husband, John Earl Vickrey, died in 1994.
Survivors include a son, Michael Vickrey, Murray; three daughters, Pat Fowler, Mayfield, Peggy Milstead, Princeton, Nancy Robinson, Hopkins County; two brothers, Eugene White, Gracey, Marlin White, Caldwell County; a sister, Katherine Stallins, Princeton; 19 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
