Rev. J. H. Dame
The Rev. J. H. Dame was born January 3, 1839. He was converted at an early age and joined the Concord General Baptist church. he began preaching about 1872. His records were not available to us, so we have had to gather from the minutes of Union Association what we could find.

From these we found the following: He was moderator of Union Association in 1884, and again in 1885. In 1898 when Union Association met with Mt. Pleasant church, although not the moderator that year, he preached the introductory sermon.

When the Association met with Green's Chapel church in 1902, he was the moderator, and preached the introductory sermon.

Then in 1907 when Union Association met with Duvall's Chapel church he was again chosen moderator. He lived a long and useful life, and passed to his reward on October 26, 1909.
