REV. L. O. NICHOLS
The Re. Leslie O. Nichols was born in Webster County, Kentucky, July 7, 1901. He professed faith in Christ at the age of 12 and joined "a church near Slaughters, Ky., and out from Sebree, but do not have the name of his church."

Later he joined the General Baptist church at Providence, Ky.

He was loyal to his faith, and was very active as Sunday School superintendent and as teacher of the Young People's Class.

He was called to preach in October, 1933, and was ordained to full work of the ministry in 1934 at Pleasant Hope Church. His friends at Providence have pleasant memories of his answering the call to the ministry.

The following are the churches he pastored: Enon, White Oak, Livermore and at time of his death he was pastoring churches at Madisonville, Sebree and Mt. Lebanon. He was in the ministerial work for sixteen years.

His friends were legion. He was not easily discouraged in his efforts; was a consecrated minister of God, and a tireless worker and builder in God's Kingdom. His membership at the time of his death was in the Madisonville General Baptist church, Madisonville, Kentucky.
