REV. W. T. WINSTEAD
The Rev. W. T. Winstead was born in Webster county, Kentucky, in November 1870. He was converted at the age of 18, and at the age of 35 was ordained to the full work of the ministry by the presbytery of Union Association.

Rev. Winstead was pastor of the Providence church during the following years: 1915- 1918; 1921-24; 1928-30; 1934-37.

he served as moderator of Union Association in 1916, and again in 1932. he also served on the Home Mission Board of Union Association for several years, and for more than a quarter of a century he and his good wife, the former Miss Annie Carnal, gave themselves without reservation to various phases of work in the General Baptist Denomination.

His soft voice and gracious manner will linger long with those who knew him. His years were fruitful, his sunset golden with the promise of another dawn. He passed beyond the golden sunset at his home in Providence, Ky., November 19, 1944.
