Hi ! FYI we had our spring cleaning at the Dixon Cemetery, between the rivers, Trigg County, yesterday. We were blessed with a beautiful weather day. We don't have an official count yet but we had very near 50 people show up. This included some from this group. We were glad to see Anne "Fooshee" Higgins, Ski, and Ira Tripp Scott. I hope I didn't miss any others from the group.

We were very lucky with the Ice storm. We only had two trees down in the far back corner which we cleared away, down to the main trunk. Jamie Bennett from the Forest Service was there for awhile. She told us the the Forest Service  received an grant for LBL clean up and that they would remove the large trunks that we left.

Of course there was a sad point in that we almost ran out of food !!! Ha, Ha. If you have ever been to a between the rivers gathering you know that there was an abundance of food. After everyone had eaten we could have fed that many and more again.

We now have the cemetery in a good state of maintenance and our work is light maintenance and much visiting ( which I like ). Our fall clean up day is the last Saturday in October. Come join us. Bring genealogy and photos. OH !! some tools and gloves might be needed and a pot luck dish, (we wouldn't want to run out of food)

Glenn
