For You.....

EDISON
THOMAS

Early memories of a toe head boy,
Freckled face and apple cheeks
Fishing pole beside him,
Skimming rocks on Donaldson Creek.

The heart of a man began to form,
In those lean years on the farm.
The lessons learned are fond memories,
Often slipping in, soft and warm.

Destiny speaks to one of a journey;
To move on with the business of life.
Employment brings a job of dreams,
Gifts from God, and a loving wife.

The war years came, the duty met;
Then, a city job became fate,
Life was good, life moved on,
Filling full the family’s plate.

Deep convictions in Christian faith,
Gave reason for love and hope.
A spirituality needed in life,
Made living much easier to cope.

With this bit of information;
Not nearly enough to learn,
About this man of whom we love,
And care for, with great concern.

No way to count the help he’s given,
To numerous souls along life’s way.
So we would like the world to know -
That this has been, officially declared,
EDISON THOMAS DAY!
