Former Trigg Countian Dies At Confederate Home
David M. Watwood Had Relatives In Trigg And Served Under Capt. Terry
David M. Watwood, 80 years old, of this city died at the Confederate home at Pewee Valley, Ky. At 10:15 Sunday morning, August 13th, of a complication of diseases. He had been an inmate of the home for seven years.

His daughter, Miss Sallie Watwood was at his bedside at the time of death.

Robert Watwood met his sister, Miss Sallie, at Henderson and accompanied her home.

The deceased had made arrangements to come home for a visit to his wife and family when he was stricken with his fatal illness.

Mr. Watwood saw service with the Eighth Kentucky Infantry during the Civil War, from 1861 - 1865, serving under Capt. Terry in the latter part of the service.

Besides his widow he is survived by two children, Miss Allie and Robert Watwood, all of Madisonville, and Mesdames Mattie Carson, Hannibal Mo; Bettie Utley, Nebo; Della Gentry, Los Angeles, Calif; and Kate Southard, Greenville, sisters. There were no surviving brothers. MADISONVILLE HUSTLER.
