LUTHER MONROE ROGERS
BORN OCTOBER 22, 1925
Son of Luther and Mary Etta King Rogers

 
 
                       At age 16-entered US Army.
                       Served from July 16, 1942 - June 8, 1945 held rank of Buck
                       Sergeant as a section leader in a rifle company.
 
                       Stationed at Camp Forrest Tennessee at Tallahoma..
                       Tour of duty included Camp Phillips, Kansas, Tent City at Yuma, Arizona,
                       Fort Dix, New Jersey to Camp Killmer.

                       Served overseas during the invasion of France-was given a medical discharge
                       from wounds received during invasion.
